“I am pleased to note that the geography of the Olympiad expands every year, and today over 600 school and university students from various countries, along with esteemed experts, analysts, and numerous guests, have gathered at the Sirius centre.

I want to emphasise that with the development of the digital environment, not only do new opportunities for progress arise, but also risks such as fraud, money laundering, and crime financing. Therefore, in our country, priority is given to enhancing financial security for individuals and society, protecting the legal rights of citizens, and improving the financial literacy. Without a doubt, such valuable initiatives as your Olympiad contribute to addressing these problems and play an important role in education, public awareness, and personal development.

Of course, during Russia’s presidency at BRICS and the CIS this year, I would like to highlight the sincere desire of young people from the member countries of these international associations to engage actively in strengthening global financial security. This is the goal of the Augusto Initiative, which received strong support from its participants at the last Olympiad.
