Greetings to the Russian national team on winning the 3rd Open World Astronomy Olympiad
Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian school students Yekaterina Churkina, Olga Karasyova, Yegor Ledenyov, Tatyana Migal, Mark Yakovlev, and Dmitry Timofeyev, members of the Russian national team that won the 3rd Open World Astronomy Olympiad.
The message reads, in part:
“In a compelling struggle with strong competitors from 20 countries, you have shown excellent skills, a profound knowledge of priority areas of astronomy, and outstanding leadership qualities. You have once again confirmed the impressive potential and reputation of the national education.
Your parents, teachers and mentors may be proud of such talented students. Well done!”
