The focus of the meeting will be on the national goals and strategic objectives in developing physical culture and sport in the Russian Federation until 2024 and beyond. The participants will discuss creating conditions for involving all categories and groups of the population in systematic physical activity and sport, upgrading sports facilities, improving the sport reserve training as well as raising competitiveness of Russian sport.

The President will also tour the Anastasia Davydova Olympic Center for Synchronised Swimming, where the meeting is to take place. During the visit, Vladimir Putin will meet with winners of the 2019 Winter Universiade, which was held on March 2–12 in Krasnoyarsk.
